The battlefield raged, a maelstrom of clashing steel and desperate cries, where Sawerigading fought with a fury born of profound grief. His heart was shattered by the loss of his two beloved cousins, Lapangan Terang and Lama Saguni, whose absence fueled his every strike. His sword, a gleaming extension of his will, cut through the chaos, a stark symbol of his unwavering resolve.
"We cannot surrender!" Sawerigading roared, his voice raw with defiance. "They fell for us, and we must fight until our last breath!" He rejected Lama Togeq Langi's retreat suggestion, for defeat was no option.
Yet, as he battled, Sawerigading stumbled upon the lifeless forms of Lapangan Terang and Lama Saguni. A wave of overwhelming despair washed over him; he clutched Lapangan Terang's cold hand, tears streaming down his face. "This is all my fault!" he sobbed, his voice breaking.
From the ethereal skies above, Dewa Para Bulete, sibling to the mighty Batara Guru, heard the profound lament. "Who cries with such deep sorrow?" he mused, his divine vision revealing a broken Sawerigading. Recognizing his grand-nephew, Dewa Para Bulete knew he must intervene.
Meanwhile, Datu Patoto'e’s anger flared upon learning of Dayang Melalui’s challenge to Sawerigading. "We must act swiftly!" he declared. Batara Guru, however, offered a more measured counsel. "He does not fight alone; send Lapunalangi, for his aid will be invaluable."
Suddenly, Lapunalangi materialized on the chaotic battlefield, accompanied by a formidable host of wild beasts. With an unwavering gaze, he commanded his new forces to gather the fallen and resurrect Sawerigading's brave soldiers. "Bring their bodies to me!" he ordered, his voice echoing with power.
Sawerigading watched in stunned disbelief as Lapangan Terang and Lama Saguni stirred, their lives amazingly restored. A powerful surge of hope coursed through him, renewing his spirit. "Thank you, Lapunalangi!" he exclaimed. "Together, we shall rise again!"
With Lapunalangi by his side, Sawerigading fought with renewed vigor, their combined might turning the tide strongly against Lettewarani's forces. The enemy monsters, once formidable, began to crumble under their relentless assault, their numbers dwindling rapidly.
As Lapunalangi swung his mighty blade, Lettewarani was struck down, falling to the earth. "Finally, it is time for clemency!" Lapunalangi declared. Defeated, Lettewarani bravely stepped back, extending an unexpected offer of peace. "I no longer wish to wage war!" he proclaimed.
Sawerigading stood firm, his gaze steady. "You have caused my family great pain, but now we can rebuild. Perhaps peace is indeed possible." He understood that vengeance, while tempting, would not bring true healing.
With the war finally concluded, a new, profound purpose filled Sawerigading’s heart: to find Welle Ri Cina. He journeyed to a temporal site, hoping to summon his beloved back, his longing a powerful beacon. "Welle Ri Cina, I am coming!" he whispered.
Their faces met, tears of joy streaming down their cheeks as they embraced in a warm, comforting hug. "I cannot believe this is real," Welle Ri Cina murmured, her voice trembling. "You… you are truly here!"
"Now, we can live out our days together, filled with love," he replied, hopeful for a future of peace and shared happiness.
