In the ancient land of Ale Luwu, King Batara Guru and Queen We Nyili' Timo lived in splendor, yet their hearts ached with a deep, quiet sorrow. Their beloved son, Batara Lattu, was far away, and a great longing filled their royal halls.
To ease their pain, Batara Guru made a firm decision. He summoned Bajeng Tangkiling, his loyal messenger. "You must go to Tompotikka," Batara Guru commanded, "and bring Batara Ratu and his queen back to us. Our longing for them is immense."
Far away in Tompotikka, Batara Ratu and We Datu Sengeng also felt a deep yearning. "I miss our home, Ale Luwu, and Batara Lattu," We Datu Sengeng confided, her eyes reflecting her sadness. Batara Ratu nodded, sharing her sentiment.
Soon, Bajeng Tangkiling arrived, delivering Batara Guru’s heartfelt message. "Your family wishes to see you return; their yearning is unbearable." Batara Ratu looked up, a wave of relief washing over him. "We shall prepare to come home," he promised.
We Datu Sengeng felt a bittersweet pang, sad to leave Tompotikka, yet joyful to return to Ale Luwu. They began their preparations, knowing their duty called them home.
Meanwhile, Batara Lattu, ever thoughtful, realized something important. When We Datu Sengeng returned to Ale Luwu, she would need a partner. He vowed to find her a suitable spouse, ensuring her happiness in their ancestral land.
One night, Batara Ratu awoke from a vivid dream. It showed a grand wedding, filled with joy and light. "This must be a message from the heavens!" he declared to his queen, We Datu Sengeng. "We must begin planning for this blessed event immediately!"
Yet, a shadow loomed. The kingdom of Tompotikka faced a growing threat from Sinking Wero, a menacing force that challenged their peace. This danger demanded vigilance and strength.
Finally, Batara Lattu arrived in Ale Luwu, greeted with immense joy. He embraced his parents, his heart full. Without delay, he began making meticulous preparations for the wedding, eager to fulfill his vow and the divine prophecy.
However, the threat of Sinking Wero intensified, casting a pall over the impending celebrations. We Datu Sengeng, ever spirited, felt a rising impatience. "We cannot wait forever," she urged, "we must act against this danger!"
The wedding day dawned, a mix of excitement and underlying tension. As the sacred vows were about to begin, a sudden gasp rippled through the crowd. Ila Jerio, standing near the altar, suddenly swayed and collapsed, falling unconscious to the floor. A hush fell.
Batara Lattu acted swiftly. He knelt beside Ila Jerio, performing a quick, ancient ritual with focused intent. Moments later, a faint flutter of eyelids, then a deep breath. Ila Jerio slowly regained consciousness, to everyone's relief.
With the crisis averted, the ceremony continued. Vows were exchanged, tears of joy flowed freely, and a profound sense of happiness filled the hall. The union was celebrated with heartfelt emotion and hope.
Batara Lattu reassured everyone that their love would overcome all differences. Yet, the shadow of Sinking Wero lingered, a challenge for another day. Their unity, however, brought hope for future victories.
