Prince Sawerigading stood before his parents in Ale Luwu's grand hall. He declared his firm intention to leave his kingdom for a new destiny in Ale Cina. He would journey to Ale Cina, seeking atonement for past sins and relinquishing his throne.
Datu Patoto'e, his father, gazed intently. "My son," he questioned, "why forsake this sacred throne for love?"
"For love, Father," Sawerigading affirmed with resolve. "I shall not return. The court officials must now lead our kingdom collectively."
We Nyili' Timo, his mother, wiped a tear. "Sawerigading," she pleaded, "this is a grave choice. Please, reconsider."
"Allow me to depart," he insisted, glancing at We Tenriabeng. "Only then can I forge a life separate from this burden."
We Tenriabeng whispered, "I understand. This is about a love we cannot conceal, a destiny you must embrace."
Sawerigading then pronounced a solemn oath: "I swear I will never again set foot in Ale Luwu. My descendants, however,
