I beg you!" Though his heart was heavy, Sawerigading conceded. "Very well. She and the others shall be spared their lives, but the consequences for their actions must still be fulfilled."

Far away in Pujananting, the pregnant Putri Tompo prayed for her husband's return. "Why does he not come? Has he forgotten me?" she whispered to Weber Yaji, her heart heavy with longing.
